Barcelona Set Sights on Luis Díaz After Failed Nico Williams Move
Following the failed move for Nico Williams, Barcelona’s main transfer target of the 2025 summer window has been revealed.
According to reports, FC Barcelona have intensified their pursuit of Colombian winger Luis Díaz, with fresh indications that the club is preparing a renewed approach for the Liverpool forward. This follows the collapse of their proposed move for Athletic Club’s Nico Williams.
Despite having two offers previously rejected, the Catalan giants remain firm in their pursuit of Díaz, who is now seen as the club’s primary option to strengthen the left flank. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the 28-year-old is open to a move, seeing Barcelona as a natural step forward in his career.
Since joining Liverpool in January 2022, Díaz has consistently impressed with his pace, flair, and technical skill—attributes that make him an ideal fit for Hansi Flick’s system at Barça.
However, the transfer is far from certain. Liverpool, current Premier League champions, have already rejected two bids and remain unwilling to let go of one of their key attacking players without a substantial offer.
