🌍 Role Overview
Reporting to the Executive Assistant, the Office Manager plays a key role in the daily coordination and smooth operation of the Directorate. From handling visitors and calls to managing appointments, filing, and internal correspondence, the Office Manager ensures that administrative processes run efficiently and professionally.
📝 Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the supervisor’s calendar and appointments.
- Receive visitors, handle calls, and maintain professional communication.
- Organize meetings and coordinate room bookings.
- Draft, file, and follow up on letters and internal documents.
- Develop and maintain a filing and archiving system for in/outgoing mail.
- Monitor and request office supplies, furniture, and electronic equipment as needed.
- Perform other tasks assigned by superiors.
🎓 Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of a High School Certificate. A University degree with training in Administrative Science or Management is an advantage.
- At least 6 years of experience in secretarial, administrative, or program management roles.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in one of ECOWAS’s official languages. Editorial and document handling skills are a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to work in diverse, international environments.
- Age: 24–50 years (age limit does not apply to internal candidates).
- Languages: Proficiency in English, French, or Portuguese. Knowledge of a second official ECOWAS language is an asset.
💰 Salary
- G5: UC 31,502.30 (approx. US$ 49,704.33) annually
- G6: UC 35,815.21 (approx. US$ 56,509.24) annually
- G7: UC 40,223.63 (approx. US$ 63,464.83) annually
